Cookie Statement.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some things we remember are not kept in a cookie but in your browser’s local storage, such as your language choice and your cookie choice. This statement covers both.

2. What categories do we use?

Necessary: Always active. Needed to sign in, complete payments safely, remember your language and theme, and store your cookie choice. No consent is needed for these.

Analytics: Only with your consent. We use PostHog to understand how Merakio is used so we can improve it. We turn off IP collection and strip personal fields, and these cookies are only set after you agree.

Marketing: Not currently in use. This category is reserved for the future.

No cookies are set for our error monitoring (Sentry) or our hosting and performance measurement (Vercel).

4. Changing your choice

On your first visit, the cookie banner asks whether you accept or reject analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser. To change or withdraw it later, clear the Merakio data in your browser settings, or email us at help@merakio.app. You cannot turn off necessary cookies, because the service does not work without them.
